Volo is a recurring character in [[Forgotten Realms]] media and a returning character from ''Baldur's Gate'' and ''Baldur's Gate II: Throne of Bhaal''.

== Chapter One ==

Volo will be found at the [[Sacred Pool]] inside the Druid Grove. He will conduct an interview on the player regarding the assault on the gates. After the interview, he will head towards the [[Goblin Camp]].

The player will find Volo again, this time as a captive, forced to be jester and "entertainment" for the goblins. The player will be able to rescue him inside the [[Defiled Temple]], through a skill check. If rescued, he will head towards the player's camp.

Depending on whose side the player chose, he will be either a free man or a caged one during the Party, where he'll sing a song for the player.

Volo can also be recruited to the [[Campsite]], where he can attempt to remove the Mindflayer [[Tadpole]]. Doing this will end in catastrophe, but will pity the player and give them an enchanted eye in compensation, granting the {{IconLink|Volos Ersatz Eye Icon.png|Volo's Ersatz Eye (Condition)|Volo's Ersatz Eye|size=25}} condition permanently. He will then leave.

At 3rd act you will find it again trapped in front of the fundition of steel watch. If you rescue him and talk to him, he will appear again at your camp, it will give you a mysterious book about the slayer form and an elf that wanted to unlocked it without being a bhaal's son.
